Penultimate

We may want to investigate this app in our "Whiteboard" category search. I'm also interested in learning more about the AirPlay features in iOS 5 ... It provides the option of wirelessly streaming the iPad screen to an Apple TV device ... Which could then be connected to the ceiling mounted projector (we'll see). This would provide a cord-free display of the iPad.

Digital Storytelling Tools by Özge Karaoğlu

With the coming of the 21st century, technology has added a new twist to our traditional storytelling. Beyond the scope of pen and pencil, we can now easily tell and share our stories digitally with mobile phones, flip cameras, recording our voice or using free web tools. There is no doubt that today's students are more motivated and interested in using digital storytelling just like any other multimedia. It offers us, educators, a new and a very 21st century way to captivate students' attention, facilitate learning, reach shy students and increase collaboration and community in a classroom. It's a great way to give voice to ourselves and our students in an out of the classroom walls.

Prezi - The Zooming Presentation Editor

About Prezi
Presentations have not evolved much in the 50 years since the slide was invented, but Prezi is changing that. Prezi lets you bring your ideas into one space and see how they relate, helping you and your audience connect. Zoom out to see the big picture and zoom in to see details — a bit like web-based maps that have changed how we navigate through map books.

With the new Prezi for iPad app, you can easily show prezis wherever your ideas take you. Instead of clicking on buttons, you can simply pan and pinch to zoom and move around the prezi – making it even easier to bring your ideas into everyday discussions.

iPad Apps to Meet IEP Goals

iPad Apps to meet IEP Goals

From TechLearning by Guest Blogger Vicki Windman

Students who are classified as Special Education must have an Individual Education Plan (IEP).  Goals of the IEP include study skills, reading, math, writing, daily living, and career and transition goals.  Throughout the school year teachers are mandated to follow the student’s IEP and come up with different strategies to help the child meet his or her planned goals.
